The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has greeted the people on the start of holy month of Ramazan and stated, "Greetings on the start of Ramazan. May this holy month enhance the spirit of togetherness, peace and harmony across the world."
US President Donald Trump wishing wishing Muslims a "joyful" Ramadan reminded them that the spirit of Ramadan "strengthens awareness of our shared obligation to reject violence, to pursue peace, and to give to those in need who are suffering from poverty or conflict."

Nigerian leaders greeted Muslims on the start of Ramzan and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, in his message said, "As the fourth pillar of Islam, Ramadhan fast is a significant act of worship which among others, teaches compassion, love, sacrifice, good neighbourliness and peaceful coexistence."
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani sent the geetings to heads of the Islamic countries on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan and urged to take the lead in establishing a world free from violence and extremism for upholding the real image of Islam.
