Ram Rahim's adopted daughter Honeypreet now in the custody of Haryana Police; will be produced in court on Wednesday
After over a month-long run, Dera Chief Ram Rahim's adopted daughter Honeypreet Insan was finally taken into custody by Haryana Police on Tuesday.

Haryana Police said that Honeypreet was taken into custody on the Zirakpur-Patiala road, further clarifying that Punjab Police had not played any role in her arrest. According to Haryana police, Honeypreet will be produced in the Panchkula district court on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, AS Chawla, Panchkula Police Commissioner informed that another woman was also taken into the custody along with Honeypreet, as per the media report.

"We are probing her links to the August 25 violence. We will find out the people who helped her abscond for so long and they will be punished," Chawla added.

Honeypreet, who had been absconding since 38 days, has been accused of plotting the riots in Panchkula, that left around 41 people dead and several others injured following Ram Rahim's conviction in two rape cases.

Earlier on Monday, she had appeared in exclusive interviews on News 24 and India Today news channels, where Honeypreet, who is said to be in her mid 30s had made it clear that she will surrender before the court after taking legal advice.

Talking to the media persons, Honeypreet had also clarified that she will approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court to get justice over the entire matter, where her father Ram Rahim Singh will prove his innocence.
