Rahul Gandhi targets KCR asking "is Telangana for the sake of these four people?"
Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, deplored that while the people of Telangana state were disastrously deprived to realise their dreams, although, they had fought vigorously for the creation of a separate state, the state was being ruled by a family for its own selfish interests.
Addressing a massive public meeting on Thursday night in Sangareddy, which is considered as the political fortress of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's family, Rahul Gandhi emotionally asked people that "is Telnagana for which you fought for the sake of these four people?"

The public meeting was the first of its kind organised by Telangana Congress party after formation of the new state.

His comments were in context of the Chief Minister KCR, his minister son KT Rao, his minister nephew T Harish Rao and his daughter MP K Kavitha. The Congreee Vice-President launched the party's vigorous campaign for the 2019 polls from the Ambedkar Stadium, the same place from where his grandmother Indira Gandhi had started Congress party's campaign in 1979, when she was in opposition and also contested from here for Lok Sabha, which helped her to return back to power at New Delhi. He said that only Congress could realise their dreams.

Referring to `unfulfilled' promises of TRS government, particularly to farmers, youth and women, he accused that KCR government is working for realising the dreams of a single person, by trampling on the rights of all other people on land, water and other resources of the State.

Accusing KCR of shattering the dreams of Telangana, Gandhi said that the people of the region had demanded statehood in order to enjoy their rights on land, water and other resources. "But, one family in the State is exercising its right on all resources," he alleged.

Rahul Gandhi asked his party cadre to undertake door-to-door visits in every nook and cranny of the State to ensure that Congress came to power in 2019. "Go to every village and visit every household to convey the Congress message," he told them, while asking Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy to lead a new movement to ensure that the dreams of Telangana were realised.

Rahul Gandhi said that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to give two crore jobs, Telangana Chief Minister KCR had promised to give one job to each family. However, both of them have failed to honour their promises, he criticised.

Referring to Modi's flagship programme `Make in India', Rahul deplored that wherever he goes for shopping he finds most of the goods are `Made in China' only. He promised that if Congress returns to power, it would ensure availability of `Made in India' and `Made in Telangana' products, which would provide employment to crores of Indian youth.

The Congress Vice President also blasted Modi government's attempts to dilute land acquisition act brought out by the UPA government which ensures four times compensation for farmers. He recalled that three times Modi had tried to revoke this legislation, but Congress stood like a rock in preventing the government's evil designs. He alleged that KCR is also following Modi and brought the disastrous land acquisition act.
