Male model Gaurav Arora returns to TV as female model Gauri Arora after a sex-change operation
Male mode Gaurav Arora, who featured in season 8 of MTV Splitsvilla, is one of the few people who mustered the courage to admit being a bisexual on national television.

Last year 25-year-old Gaurav underwent a sex-change surgery and has now made a comeback on TV as Gauri Arora. She is participating in the third season of India's Next Top Model.

As a male model, Gaurav stood six-feet tall and had a perfectly toned and chiseled body. He had eight-pack abs and 16-inch biceps and was one of the most sought after male models around three years ago.

But now, the same person but in the guise of a female, Gauri, is winning hearts of the show's judges Malaika Arora, Milind Soman, Dabboo Ratnani and Neerja Gaba.

On being asked by the judges that what prompted her to take such a big step, Gauri replied, "Being a woman is a gift and I have gifted myself a vagina. Three years ago I was a male model. I was on men's cover magazine. Then I did a show with MTV as a male model. I had 8 pack abs, 16-inch biceps. I was a fit model... I still feel nervous because I have broad shoulders, broad arms. I am growing into a woman and am loving it. I am becoming feminine day by day."

"There was a lot going inside me since my childhood but I didn't know whom to speak to. But, my parents have been a constant support. They are God to me. It was my Dad who took me to Bangkok. We went to Thailand. Only my Dad was there with me. It must have been difficult for him too to see his son transforming into a girl. I used to tell my dad that, 'Papa, it's really very painful, it's impossible," Gauri further said.

On being asked whether she was comfortable wearing a bikini on the show, Gauri replied, "My boyfriend and my Dad have told me not to wear bikini because this is my first show as a woman and they don't want the world to think that I did all this (transformation) just for this show."

Gauri is a perfect example proving beyond doubt that despite the changing masquerade, one still remains the same beautiful person from the inside.
