Hyderabad to host National Conference on 'Higher Education in India: Emerging Challenges'
A two-day national seminar on "Higher Education in India: Emerging Challenges" is going to be held on 30th & 31st January 2019 at Government Degree College, Serilingampally, BHEL, Hyderabad.

According to the conference organizers, Indian education system is the third largest system in the world after that of the US and China which is rapidly growing and its empowering role is being recognised.  Despite the digitally connected world, there is a lack of equal opportunity and equal development in the area of higher education.

The conference will deliberate on the issues such as teaching and learning strategies; institutional infrastructure; contextualization of curriculum; finances in higher education; and quality of and research in higher education.

Some other interesting topics are related to pedagogy; institutional leadership; faculty mobility; ethics and values; gender equity; research and innovation, etc. have included for paper presentation.

It is being held that the exchange of ideas, and discussions on issues and evidence based solutions connected with higher education at local and global levels will provide impetus to the on-going debate to improve the quality and access to higher education in India.
