Google celebrates Christmas with second set of doodles as part of December Global Festivities
Internet search engine giant Google is marking the month with its second of four-doodle series on Christmas festival today, December 25, related to December global festivities.

The doodles of the month are meant to create festive mood with depiction of penguin and parrot families sharing the spirit and cheer of Christmas season.

The series of doodles that started on 18th December will unfold the festival season to be concluded on January 1, 2018. Today, the second doodle has appeared and on December 25, the third doodle will appear on January 31. Today's unfolding doodles show the gifts and feasting activities of the two bird families.

Today, Christmas festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ is being celebrated as a religious and cultural celebration across the world to spread good cheer and sense of human fraternity.

It may be noted that Christmas Day is a public holiday in many of the world's nations including India. In our country, the festival is celebrated religiously by Christian minority and culturally by others.

The festival is being marked by gift giving, completing the Advent wreath, music shows, carol singing, displaying Nativity scenes, exchanging of Christmas cards, organizing church services, having special meals. The houses, malls, public places and churches have been decorated with Christmas decorations, Christmas trees, festival lights, nativity scenes, garlands, wreaths, mistletoe, holly, etc.

One can see people dressed as Santa Claus distributing gifts like toys and candy to children on Christmas Eve, night of 24 December and the early morning hours of Christmas Day.
